BASEMENT WATERPROOFING
Where floors and walls are below ground level these will always be subject to lateral Water Penetration and the only way to make these area dry and useable are to ‘Tank’ them.

Commonly known as ‘Tanking’ this method of treatment allows an unusable, damp underground area to be transformed into a waterproofed, warm and additional living/working area.

To provide a healthy dry space the problem can be dealt with by one or two systems.

CEMENTITIOUS MULTI COAT RENDER
The product used by us is Sika pre-bagged specialist waterproofing renders. As its name implies this is a method of using multiple coats of waterproof render to walls and floors.
CAVITY DRAINAGE MEMBRANE

This method is the installation of a polyethylene membrane fixed to the floor and walls.
This method of installation is quick, cost effective and with a minimal disruption.
It also produces a warmer finish.

This method is especially suitable for listed buildings.

Any free water is channeled directly to a sump and pump system.
