CONDENSATION TREATMENT

Condensation is the major form of dampness affecting properties throughout the country. It is caused simply by water vapour in the atmosphere forming water droplets.

Condensation can be seen when water droplets, for example, appear on window panes. The source of water can be attributed to various domestic activities.

Condensation can be caused by cooking, personal bathing, washing clothes and drying on radiators.

One litre of fuel burned in a portable heater releases one litre of moisture into the atmosphere and in fact normal breathing also adds significantly to the volume of water vapour present in the household environment.

Condensation can be cured by adequate heating, insulation and ventilation, all of which will control the production of condensation. Fans can be fitted to help combat this problem, which we can install.
